A: Yes it is possible for your paper to use it's own domain name. To do this, you just have to notify our support department, and they'll give you the needed information, and usually have it done within one working day. Please read the instructions for own domain name for you paper, so it can be done as smooth as possible. There is an extra cost for own domain name, which can be found in the price index.
Q: Who can publish on the Dynamic Paper Systems?
A: Virtually everyone who wants to publish a continuing content, whether it would be a newspaper, magazine, club paper, company paper etc. The system is built in such a way, that everyone with a publishing need can have his whishes get through.
Q: How fast can my paper be up and running?
A: The set up of your paper usually take one day. Your own special layout can take some extra days, but all standard features can be up and running same day. You should also bear in mind that your employee will demand some time before they feel comfortable with the system. The system is built as user-friendly as possible, so all standard features should be learned within the first day.
Q: When will my paper be accessible for my readers?
A: After the Dynamic Paper Sales Division has approved your paper. This happens usually when you have agreed to the terms for the Dynamic Paper System, and the start fee has been paid. The approval will be made the same day as the things mentioned above are done. After your paper has been approved, you must launch your paper by pressing "the Launch Paper" button in the main paper preferences area. Before that, only your journalists and personnel are able to access you paper. This way you can control the exact time when your paper gets on-line.
Q: Are there any censorship on my content?
A: No, we do not have any form for censorship, you are free to publish what ever you want. The only things we do not accept is content, that is illegal according to international law, and porn content. The paper chief-editor is responsible for the content, which his own paper publishes. Q: How is the backup service handled at Dynamic Paper?
A: We have tree levels of backup as our standard procedure. The first level backup is by a second hard disk to perform disk-to-disk backup, also known as RAID. On the second level backup, backup is made every 24 hours to Dynamic Paper backup servers. On the third level backup, a backup is made on an external media once a week and stored in a safe place.
Q: Are any extra charges involved with the backup service?
A: There are no extra costs for our standard backup service. In the unfortunate event that you lose a file or folder from your paper inadvertently, let us know, and we will quickly restore it for you. Charges will only apply if we must retrieve data from a backup server or external backup media.
Q: What if there should occur a power failure?
A: In the event of a power failure, our servers are connected to automatic battery backup systems with instant fail over. This ensures continuous and uninterrupted power to the servers.
In the event of an extended electrical outage, our operations facility has stand-by generator power that can be activated on short notice so that business continues without interruption in virtually all circumstances.
Q: What about the layout for my paper? Can I use my own custom layout?
A: Yes, the Dynamic Paper System have build in a Layout Management where you can create your own layouts for your paper. We have carefully studied many functions and graphic layouts on the Internet, included those requested by our clients, and made sure that the Layout Management does facilitate these possibilities. In addition, we have created some pre-defined layouts, that makes it easier to start publishing your paper. You also have the possibilities to outsource the creation of a new layout for your paper to third parties.

A: Dynamic Paper is priced for the mass enterprise. It is Dynamic Paper® System goal to help make as many online publishers successful as possible and therefore pricing is reflective of this goal. In addition to software licensing fees, the high cost factor for many competing products is a direct result of the significant amount of time and energy required for building and deploying sites with these systems. Often, additional consulting and professional services fees are required to get these systems up and running, due to the technical complexity, proprietary nature of the system, and the lack of qualified developers in the marketplace familiar with the technology and the underlying language. Q: How fast is the internet connection for my paper?
A: Dynamic Paper co-operate with UUNet (WorldCom), which have the largest international internet backbone, and one of the fastest access time available. The data is stored on servers placed at UUNet and directly connected to their international backbone. The first server park is placed in Denmark (Europe), other will follow where you may choose to have your paper located, or to have it located in more than one place.

A: Yes, this is possible in our Professional Version. This version not currently available, but will be in the 4Q of 2002. Please contact the sales division for the Professional Version.
Q: Is it possible to host the Dynamic Paper System on my own servers??
A: Not at this moment. There will be an Enterprise version were it will be possible. The Enterprise version is not available to the mass market at the moment. The Enterprise version is mainly for medium and large papers that have larger demands. Please contact the sale for further details.
